peanut butter problems

by

anyone who knows me at all knows that i have a serious love affair with peanut butter. i cannot go a single day without having at least one (heaping) spoonful. it may be a slight problem, but it is one that i am completely fine having.

since yesterday was a nasty, rainy, cold day and i was needing my peanut butter fix, i decided i'd bake pb chocolate chip cookies. i believe it was the best decision i made all day.

1 1/4 cup of flour
3/4  teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 stick of butter (softened)
1 cup of peanut butter of your choice (except Jif..come on people, use the good stuff)
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of chocolate chips
1/2 cup of peanut butter chips

1. preheat the oven to 350
2. combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl
3. in a large bowl mix the peanut butter and butter until it's nice and fluffy
4. add both sugars and beat until smooth
5. add egg and mix
6. add milk, vanilla extract, and flour mixture and mix again
7. add chocolate and peanut butter chips
8. place rounded teaspoons on a greased cookie sheet
9. sprinkle a little sugar on top of each cookie for good measure (why not?)
10. bake for 10-12 minutes- they might look undercooked but they are done, trust me... i burnt a batch.
11. let cool for one minute on cookie sheet then place on parchment paper to cool.
12. pour a big ol glass of milk and eat those things.
